So apparently I signed up for Camp Nanowrimo literally at the last minute, meaning yesterday :) I'm kinda excited, I've never done anything like this and even though I only set myself a goal of 20k, that's still twice as much as I've ever written in a month! Does one of my lovely flisters have any experience with Nanowrimo and some tips for me?

So, I borrowed this from my friend anuna[livejournal.com profile] anuna_81 and I think it's an interesting idea:

Tell me about stories you think I should write. I mean, if you could sit me down for a day or whatever and say, "K, I want you to write this story for me," what would that story be?

I'm not actually promising to *write* any of these, mind you, but it's fun anyway. And who knows if I'll be inspired!

So, if you've got any ideas, I surely could use some prompts ;) It seems I work better that way ;D

Dear snow,

you know I've loved you ever since I was a little girl. It could be my Slovene roots, but I always adored you.

But now it's over! How dare you fall on a Sunday night, causing my friggin neighbours to shovel loudly at 5 IN THE FRIGGIN AM!!!! Scraping across the sidewalk in front of my bedroom windom!!! I start the week on 5 hours of sleep, how do you think that's going to work out? Yeah, I think it will be a crappy day as well, thanks for understanding. And I have to do so many friggin spreadsheets today, it is not even remotely funny anymore, much less not even remotely interesting...

So dear snow, thanks for being my lover for 30+ years, but tonight you blew it. We're off!

Sincerely, shenshen

So, I nabbed this idea from my flister [livejournal.com profile] icecream_junkie, to watch 50 new movies in a year. That shouldn't be too hard, right?

Let's see...
  1. The Assassination of Jesse James by the coward Robert Ford - (Rang in the new year watching this, so I'll count it for this year. Apart from that, I liked the movie well enough, but it was way too long. Highlights for me: Jeremy Renner singing! Also his naked ass! Coupled with the Kentucky accent he's sporting, which made me feel right at home ;))
  2. Hachi: A dog's tale - Cried like a baby, why am I doing this to myself???? See my rambly ramble here. But it was a lovely little tearjearker, especially if you like dogs.
  3. The Green Hornet - Chaotic, full of anarchy, cartoonish script... quite fun, don't regret watching it.
  4. Date Night - It was ok, I really like Tina Fey and in this case her dress :D Steve Carell, not so much ;) The supporting characters were quite fun though.
  5. Vincent will Meer - Lovely German roadmovie/buddymovie/romcom/tragedy, quite the discovery for me... This movie has it all, a great script, gorgeous cinematography and a wonderful cast. Watch it if you have the chance, it gave me all the feels :)

Title: Art Nouveau
Rating: PG-13 (mission-type violence)
Wordcount: ~2750
Disclaimer: I own nothing, though I wouldn't mind a Clint or Jeremy :D
Warnings: None past mission style violence, karaoke and fluff. Although if I have missed something, please let me know!
Summary: A Hydra cell is setting up shop in a quaint German university town. Clint and Natasha get sent in to take care of the problem and just might discover more than Art Nouveau architecture in the process…

Inspired by [livejournal.com profile] dictator_duck's challenge over on [livejournal.com profile] be_compromised to write fics set in our hometowns. This is my first Clintasha fic and the first fic over 600 words that gets posted anywhere, so yay :D It also features a plot bunny I had running around my head since September, I think... There might be a second part in the works, because after UST comes RST and apparently I write smut now…

Crossposted on AO3 and also added to the collection :)

An extra special thanks to [livejournal.com profile] alphaflyer, who took the time to read this over not once but twice, all while preparing a New Year’s Eve feast for 20 people. You rock, my friend!

Hi, I'm shenshen, pleased to meet you *waves* I'm a friendly person, so if you'd like to friend my, I wouldn't mind at all :) I hope to finally finish some of my started fics to post here, until then I am content to enjoy the plentiful offerings of all those talented folks out there!

I'm also willing to offer my services as a beta reader in both German and English. Not to brag or anything, but I was the best in my High School English class (granted, that was in Kentucky, but nevertheless) ;) And although I am no native speaker, I do posess mad grammar skills and spot typos like nobody's business. As for the fandoms I would be able to assist with, just check my interests.

I love movies and tv shows with depth and snark, witty banter is a definite turn on for me. If it evokes feels, I'm all for it. I'm an h/c addict, I admit it, but I guess that I'm in good company here. I am into comic books as well, have been since I was a kid and reading my brother's Marvel comics. While traveling extensively all over the US I made my boyfriend stop at every comic book store we came across just so I could check for missing volumes of my favorite graphic novel "Elfquest". No superheroes there, but the art is just stunning. I'm always rooting for the flawed characters, be the flaws physical impairments or perceived psychological flaws. Anyways, glad you popped over, hope to see you around!
